IAN.C AND DAVID DUNNE INTERVIEW WITH MISS.B FOR www.hedkandi.com
(JUNE 2008) Hello my Kandi friends. Your Miss B here to bring you some more news from Kandi land. This time it is a catch up with David Dunne and Ian C about their recent trip to Asia to take the party east. They visited Hong Kong and Thailand and all reports suggest that it was a success, although interviewing them in Ibiza can make it a little difficult to get a serious answer…… enjoy x Miss B - How does Kandi fit in to the music scene in Asia? David - Hed Kandi has been working in the East for a while now so they know what we're about - Hong Kong has had six parties in the last year alone, whereas Bangkok was our 2nd party....but we think it seemed to fit very well - and we tried to assimilate into local cultures by wearing sarongs at all times. Miss B - How different was working in Hong Kong and Thailand? Ian - The
gigs themselves were not that different, lots of real party people!
But obviously the surroundings were very different as were the other
local clubs and venues we visited. Miss B - What sort of tunes did they prefer? David - The
vocal tunes definitely went down well in both cities - big anthems
were the order of the day for both crowds. It helped that Ian played
naked for both gigs too as it stopped the crowds from losing interest.
There was a near miss with a drumstick though which could have been
nasty. Miss B - What did you do between gigs? David -
Fine wines, Belgian Chocolates and a pipe. Miss B - What was the strangest thing you saw (Ian in his mankini does not count). Ian - David in my mankini - very disturbing. The city of Bangkok hurtling past you from the back of a tup tup at 7 am was one of the more hair raising experiences (especially if you have hair like mine). There was also a food stall selling lovely, crispy deep fried cockroaches and other yummy insects, but we took a rain check on that one. Miss B - You were interviewed I hear? Ian - Yes, by one guy who had pages and pages of questions and a very strong accent, he was really nice though and made us have loads of pictures takes with our 'thumbs up please' Then we went to Radio Television Hong Kong and David did an interview and I got dragged into it half way through. They were both great fun. Can't wait to go back! Thanks
to Miss B for the interview, it was great fun! For videos of this
